Mason Edgar Morgan [Dec. 8th, 2009|06:08 pm]
Mason was born to Audrey and Patrick Morgan on Feb 14 1983. His parents died tragically in a car accident when he was much too young to remember and was placed into the care of his Aunt, a Journalist who traveled often and left him in the care of the nanny, Alice.

He was born and raised in San Diego giving him the 'in' with all of the local bands and many who pass through playing shows frequently.

Mason was a fairly good student in school, a slight trouble maker, but he excelled in English and Journalism classes. Heading the school paper his junior and senior years, he continued with Journalism into college where he met David who was a year ahead and the photographer for the campus paper. This was the start of their working relationship.

His first ever major published piece was sold to a music magazine in Europe on the East Bay Hardcore scene. After wards the offers started to flood in making it possible for him to be able to choose who and what he would write for. Known for his biting wit and brutally honest opinions and point of view, to get a good review or interview out of him often made others take notice.

His tattoo obsession started when he was in high school. He used a fake ID to get his first ever piece, the flaming heart on his chest. After that it was a slippery slope that lead up to his current appearance, although he isn't exactly a fan of the pain that comes with it. Mason still has a few places where he could fit more, and he intends to fill them eventually, although he doesn't plan on becoming a single walking hodgepodge of tattoos a good percentage of his body is now covered.

He was classically trained on piano, which helps give him that musical ear that is needed for critique of bands and albums.

After several years of living in a noise apartment int he city, he eventually convinced David to buy a house with him in Imperial Beach, little did he know at the time, though, that David would bring his girlfriend, Chloe'.

Mason has a really bad habit of picking the wrong girl. Most of his ex's are vapid and shallow, so he's never really had a deep or meaningful relationship. Mostly he's looking for arm candy rather then some emotional connection.

Apart from the house, his biggest investment is his car, a vintage Caddy that he keeps in mint condition. The only time he purposely spends outside is the time he's working on his car.

After a night of Jagear shots one weekend while David was out of town, he and Chloe woke up the next morning wrapped up together, naked in his bed. Although they were drunk, they both remembered what happened. Chloe begged him not to tell David, but he did. That Monday when David came home he broke down and confessed. It ended their years long friendship and David left them both.

Mason resents having to share the house with Chloe' but neither of them will sign it over to the other. Both continue to make the mortgage payments together. The only thing he appreciates about her living there at all is the fact that she loves the place as much as he does and helps with improvements and keep it clean and well maintained.

Despite his cool exterior, Mason volunteers at the library as often as he can. He loves reading time with the kids, and he does all the voices.

Since he's slept with Chloe he has a hard time dating at all. She's the only girl who's ever slept with him in his bed and he's still full of lingering guilt. He misses David more then he'll admit and feels responsible for what happened.

Mason has a hard time making friends because he lacks tact sometimes and has a hard time censoring himself.  While it's traits that make him an excellent writer, it doesn't seem to translate into real life as well as he would like.

His iPhone is his life, he can't leave the house without it, he can't sleep without it on the nightstand.  He needs to feel it in his pocket or he feels disconnected and out of the loop.  He can send a text message in the time it would take most people to type one word.
